Panel Discussion and Networking Event Empowers Austin Women in Real Estate

AUSTIN, May 9, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Rethink CRM, the leading comprehensive client relationship and deal management solution, and Bumble Bizz, the women first connection platform where over 55 million users have made connections, hosted an interactive panel and discussion with some of Austin's top women in real estate on Tuesday, April 30, 2019.

At the Women in Real Estate Panel Discussion and Networking event, panelists shared insights and experiences succeeding in the male-dominated commercial real estate industry with more than 60 attendees at the Riviter Austin — a female-focused co-working space.

"We discussed how women are emerging as leaders in commercial real estate and how advocating for yourself, working with great mentors and advocates, and career-life balance can promote ongoing success," said Lindsay Fierro, senior vice president at NAI Global, and event panelist. "That includes outsourcing non-strategic tasks n your life — grocery shopping, for example — so you have more time to focus on the areas where you can't be replaced, both personally and professionally."

Other panelists included Margo Pflum, vice president, property management at Endeavor, Laura Gottesman, managing broker at Gottesman Residential Real Estate, and Bre Brown, Vice President, office tenant rep broker at JLL. Priti Joshi, global director of strategy at Bumble, moderated the discussion.

The partnership between Rethink and Bumble Bizz came about through the organizations' shared emphasis on empowering women to succeed professionally.

"Our recruitment strategy is simple — we hire the best people out there and provide support to help them balance personal and professional responsibilities. It's good for them and good for our business — a true win-win," said Scott Carter at Rethink. The strategy has created a 60% female workforce for the commercial real estate technology company, two industries that tend to be male-dominated. "The fact that such a large crowd braved the storm to hear what our incredible panelists had to say shows the deep commitment these women have to growing their real estate businesses and expanding their circles of influence."

The Women in Real Estate Panel Discussion and Networking event was the most recent of Bumble Bizz's regularly scheduled gatherings that promote a fresh take on networking, with an emphasis on opportunity over job hunting.
